Cynthia (Cindy) J Cook

I was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri in a family with loving parents and a sister who came along ten years after my birth.

From an early age, I had a passion for athletics and art as well as reading about the human condition, physiology, medicine and the mind-body-spirit connection. Through the research of the illnesses many family members experienced, I sought to learn about what happened in the body during the illness, treatments and how our emotions and spiritual beliefs interacted with that process.

Growing up, I was very involved in sports, music, art or building projects. Sometimes, I could be found secluded in my room simply reading or exploring in thought. I have fond memories of tinkering in the garage with my dad as he worked on vehicles or created wonderful carpentry projects. There were always decorating ideas or crafts going on with mom. With two creative parents, I have come by my creative abilities naturally.

As an adult, I have explored many areas - from technology and computer science to exploring artistic creativity through a myriad of mediums, to graphic design and web development. In addition, I continue my passion for healing and have explored and studied many methods of alternative and holistic therapies.

I have been blessed with a bright and beautiful daughter, Kinsey, who has brightened and explanded my world enormously. To find out more, please check out our link about our kids.

I have completed an Associates in Applied Science in Computer Information Systems - Web Design with honors (4.0 GPA), a BA in Communications, and will begin a master's degree program in Human Services in Counseling this July. I will also be continuing my education in the computer sciences, specifically the web design field. I feel life is an ongoing exploration of knowledge and learning. While I consider much of my knowledge base self taught, I have truly appreciated both the experiences formal education provides and the experiential education of self exploration.

Currently, I teach primarily web design and graphic design, as well as web certificate classes at the SMSU Computer Institute, Center for Continuing and Professional Education. In addition, I provide graphic design, marketing, web development and web hosting services through my company, WebStream Design Group. Tracy and I also continue to work together in a healing ministry. We share a passion for helping others find their healing path. Whether instructing individuals in the computer learning environment or within a spiritual environment, it is my path to help others receive the knowlege and understanding they desire.
